15K Monetary Awards Rules and Regulations
The directors, board members, organizers and supervisors of the Shoreline Classic, and their successors and assigns hereby reserve the right to determine and confirm the prize money awarded to the 15K 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers to those individuals, it, in its sole discretion, has decided actually finished in those places in the event the place or places in question is/are closely contested by multiple finishers/competitors, and all decisions regarding who finished in what place for prize money award purposes are final. Prize money may not be transferred under any circumstances.

High School Donation Program Rules and Regulations
The directors, board members, organizers and supervisors of the Shoreline Classic, and their successors and assigns hereby reserve the right to determine and confirm before awarding the money to high school athletics that the proposed nominated school with the most pre-registered nominations in entry forms received by the deadline is an eligible and competing high school cross country and/or track program for the current school year, and that the randomly selected schools in the 2nd chance drawing are also so eligible and competing in the current school year. Any nominated high school that is not verified to be an eligible and competing cross and/or track program for the current school year shall not be awarded either the 1st Chance or 2nd Chance awards, and the Shoreline directors, board members, organizers, supervisors, and their successors and assigns shall then request from the entrant another eligible high school. In any event that an eligible high school cannot be supplied, the Shoreline Classic reserves the right to choose another school based on registered nominations or random drawing for the award money.

Waiver
I know that training for and participating in a road race is a potentially hazardous activity which could cause injury or death. I should not participate in the Shoreline Squad and run the Shoreline Classic unless I am medically able and properly trained. By my signature, I certify that I am medically able to perform this event. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to any aspect of my participation in this event, including the right of any official to deny or suspend my participation for any reason whatsoever. I assume all risks associated with running in this event, including but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, effects of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity, traffic and the conditions of the road all such risks being known and appreciated by me. I hereby consent to receive emergency medical treatment which may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident or illness during my participating in the Shoreline Squad/Shoreline Classic. No warranty as to the quality of medical care is made. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release any and all rights for damages I may have against the Decatur Running Club and all organizations, and their officers, directors, agents and employees involved with the Shoreline Squad and the Shoreline Classic for any injuries suffered by me during this activity. I grant full permission to use photos and records of this event.

Participant Safety
• The use of video devices, cell phones, computers, cameras or any similar devices by participants while in the event is prohibited. The use of wheeled devices by participants or any other person authorized to be on the course shall be strictly limited to (a) authorized and registered competitive wheelchair participants and (b) authorized course marshals on bicycles. Baby joggers, baby strollers, skateboards, rollerblades, unauthorized bicycles or any other wheeled device will not be permitted. Baby joggers/strollers allowed on the 5K course. • Participants are responsible for their recognition and understanding of event signage, symbols and color relating to participant maps, facilities and direction. • Medical personnel authorized by the event to do so may examine any participant who appears in distress. If in the sole opinion of authorized medical personnel it is in the best interest of the participant's health and welfare, medical personnel may remove the participant from the event. • Participants must retire at once from race if ordered to do so by a member of the event’s official staff, official medical staff, or any governmental authority, including fire and police officers. • Participants are responsible and assume liability for any and all medical expenses incurred as a result of training for and/or participation in the event, including but not limited to ambulance transport, hospital stays, physician and pharmaceutical goods and services. • Event officials reserve the right to delay, cancel, or suspend the race due to inclement weather in accordance with Emergency Protocol on severe emergencies and/or inclement weather

The Shoreline Classic and its organizers own exclusive rights to all photographs, videos, brochures, advertisements, and any other images that result from the Shoreline Squad Training or associated race day events and have the right to use them without restrictions for current and previous years.
